A social think tank that the times demand.

Tankyu Intelligence Center (TIC) is a "social think tank" with a completely new type of education for working people, founded by Toshiki Sumitani, who is spreading the new standard of "inquiry learning" in the education world, and Masato Oda, the president of OSINTech Inc., which supports intelligence activities.

A social think tank is an organization that explores issues that have aroused awareness and interest from individual perspectives from a variety of perspectives, including those of experts and citizens, and presents them to society. TIC aims to democratize policy proposals by providing a forum for citizens to share information and engage in dialogue through research and analysis that contributes to our activities. TIC supports working people who aim for the ideal society based on their own aspirations through its Tankyu Intelligence Program, and disseminates information mainly through its students and graduates as well as the Center's researchers and fellows.

TIC's vision of a social think tank is a place where issues that have arisen from individual perspectives and sparked interest are explored from a variety of perspectives, involving both experts and citizens, and presented to society. By conducting research and analysis that contributes to activities and providing a place for information sharing and dialogue with a wide range of citizens, we aim to further democratize policy proposals. TIC supports working adults who are aiming to shape the society they want to be, centered on what they want to do, through its Inquiry Intelligence Program, and disseminates information mainly through graduates, researchers at the center, and fellows.

1. Research

The Center aims to elucidate creative problem-solving methods for social issues that are identified based on the internal motivation of researchers, utilizing primary information, crossing borders, and taking a flexible perspective.

2. Education

We provide an inquiry-based program that allows students to re-examine their views of issues based on their own internal motivations from a global, macro perspective and transform them into practical activities. People who contribute to solving social issues through co-creation will spread the circle of happiness.

3. Relationship with Society

Based on the philosophy of a social think tank that wisdom should be made available to the public, we will contribute to society by conducting research and exploration activities and widely publicizing the results. We will also cooperate with researchers and practitioners both in Japan and overseas, and provide a place for creative problem solving through active exchange.

Intelligence Watch is a non-profit organization established in Sweden in December 2015 as a public-private partnership. It is a politically and religiously independent think tank for sustainable development, focusing on environmental, economic and social issues. The Center for Inquiry Intelligence and Intelligence Watch have formed the Alliance for Sustainable Development, and as the Intelligence Watch Japan section, we are part of that broad collaboration.
